Viet Nam witnesses robust growth in air transport in first half
VGP - The first half of 2025 saw a total of 41.3 million passengers flying, up 10 percent year-on-year, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam (CAAV).

Of the figure, international tourist arrivals hit 23 million passengers while the domestic arrivals reached 18.4 million passengers, up 13 percent and 7 percent, respectively.
Cargo transport was estimated at 695,700 tons, up 14.6 percent. This includes 580,000 tons for international transport, a year-on-year increase of 17.7 percent, and 115,700 tons for domestic transport, a year-on-year rise of 1.3 percent.
During January-June, Vietnamese airlines transported 28 million passengers, down 7.3 percent from the same period last year, and 223,600 tons of cargos, up 6.2 percent on year./.
