Viet Nam, UAE sign MoU on defense industry cooperation
VGP - Viet Nam and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on defense industry cooperation.

The MoU was inked by Vietnamese Deputy Minister of National Defense Nguyen Truong Thang and Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Defense Ibrahim Nasser Mohammed Al Alawi in Ha Noi on June 30.
During their talks held on the same day, Nguyen proposed that the two sides promote the exchange of delegations at all levels, explore the establishment of defense dialogue-consultation mechanisms, and resident Defense Attaché Offices in each country.
He emphasized the need to enhance collaboration in defense industry, United Nations peacekeeping, military medicine, logistics, non-traditional security, and the training of high-quality human resources, while supporting each other at multilateral forums.
Nguyen also expressed his hope that the UAE Ministry of Defense would continue to facilitate the effective operation of the representative office of the Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel) in the country, thereby helping to advance bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Viet Nam's Ministry of National Defense welcomes officers and officials from the UAE Ministry of Defense to participate in the international defense officials course, as well as UAE military cadets to undertake Vietnamese language training at Viet Nam's military academies and educational institutions, said Nguyen.
He invited leaders of the UAE Ministry of Defense, along with the country's defense industry groups and enterprises, to attend the 3rd Viet Nam International Defence Expo, scheduled to take place in December this year.
Al Alawi, for his side, affirmed that there remains significant potential for expanding defense cooperation between the two countries.
He expressed his hope that both sides would continue to effectively implement the agreed areas of cooperation while exploring new fields of collaboration, thereby contributing to peace, stability, and prosperity in the region and around the world./.
