Prime Minister holds phone conversation with UAE President amid Middle East tensions

Sharing the difficulties faced by people in the region due to the impact of the current conflict, Pham expressed his hope that the UAE and relevant parties would continue to exercise restraint, avoid escalating tensions, and promote dialogue and negotiations to end the conflict and reach a peaceful solution based on international law and the United Nations Charter.
Viet Nam stands ready to work with the UAE and countries in the region to seek peaceful solutions to the conflict in the region, Pham reiterated.
The Prime Minister took the occasion to urge the UAE Government to assist in ensuring security and safety and facilitate the evacuation and transit of Vietnamese citizens via the UAE when necessary.
The UAE President hailed Viet Nam's willingness to contribute responsibly to addressing issues in the Middle East.
He expected to strengthen relations with Viet Nam, standing ready to further consolidate the ties between the two countries, suggesting that leaders of both nations increase contacts and expand connections and interactions at various levels.
The President stated that he would make efforts to ensure safety and arrange for Vietnamese citizens to return home whenever needed, adding that the UAE would provide maximum support for Viet Nam's short-term and long-term energy needs.
Expressing concern about the impact of the conflict on energy security, the two leaders vowed to foster stronger ties in ensuring energy security.
Both sides had extensive discussions on various concrete measures to promote bilateral ties, particularly in areas such as investing in the International Financial Center in Viet Nam, promoting key investment projects in high technology, infrastructure, and logistics, and accelerating the launch of negotiations for the Viet Nam–GCC Free Trade Agreement (FTA), with the goal of achieving US$10 billion in the bilateral trade as soon as possible./.
