He stressed that the 16th National Assembly will build on the achievements of previous terms, guided by strong intellectual capacity, firm political resolve, innovation, and a deep commitment to public service. The legislature, he said, aims to fully embody its role as the highest representative body of the people and the supreme organ of State power, contributing to a prosperous, democratic, equitable, and civilized nation.

Tran described his re-election as both a great honor and a profound responsibility to the Party, the State, and the people nationwide.

He expressed tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, as well as veteran leaders, revolutionary contributors, and those who sacrificed for the nation. He also acknowledged the leadership of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat under General Secretary To Lam.

Highlighting that the country is entering a pivotal stage of development, Tran noted that while the National Assembly can take pride in its 80-year legacy, it must also rise to meet increasingly significant responsibilities.

He pledged to work with the National Assembly and its bodies to push forward reforms, accelerate the application of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence, and improve operational effectiveness—ensuring commitments are matched by concrete action.

The top Vietnamese legislator also underscored the importance of renewing legislative thinking, combining careful consideration with decisive implementation, while continuing to refine institutions to support rapid, sustainable development and deeper international integration.

He called for stronger oversight, particularly in monitoring law enforcement and ensuring that post-supervision recommendations are effectively carried out, viewing oversight as a tool to drive development.

In addition, Tran stressed the need to enhance decision-making on major national issues and promote parliamentary diplomacy to elevate Viet Nam's international standing.

Tran also called on voters, citizens at home and abroad, international partners, intellectuals, scientists, religious leaders, and the media to support the National Assembly in fulfilling its mandate.

Together with the Party, people, and armed forces, the legislature will strive to implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, advancing the vision of a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, and happy Viet Nam on its path toward socialism.
