Prime Minister attends ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit in Kazan

The event was attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn, and the heads of delegation from ASEAN Member States.
The summit is of great significance in advancing the ASEAN–Russia Strategic Partnership.
It aims to reinforce political commitment, inject fresh momentum into cooperation, and define the strategic direction of ASEAN–Russia ties in the years ahead across the three pillars of political-security, economic, and socio-cultural cooperation.
The Vietnamese Prime Minister's participation in the summit underscores the strategic importance that Viet Nam attaches to ASEAN–Russia cooperation.
It also reflects the Southeast Asian nation's desire to continue serving as a "bridge" in promoting a substantive and effective ASEAN–Russia Strategic Partnership that is commensurate with its potential and achieves new progress on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of bilateral relations.
Viet Nam will work with other Member States to promote a practical, balanced, and results-oriented approach to ASEAN–Russia cooperation.
The nation also seeks to contribute to expanding the scope of cooperation between ASEAN and the broader Eurasian region./.
