The trip will be made at the invitation of South Korean President Lee Jae Myung, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This visit is expected to further deepen mutual trust and lay the groundwork for more substantive cooperation as Viet Nam and South Korea approach the 35th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2027, noted Vietnamese Ambassador to South Korea Vu Ho.

He went on to say that the trip offers a chance for Viet Nam to promote its image as a dynamic and deeply integrated economy as well as its image as a leading player in regional cooperation, while creating a new momentum for the country's socio-economic growth.

Since joining in 1998, Viet Nam has twice successfully hosted the APEC Economic Leaders' Week in 2006 and 2017, and is preparing for hosting APEC 2027. The Southeast Asian nation is now an attractive destination for international investment and trade, and a comprehensive strategic partner of many APEC economies such as the U.S., South Korea, Japan, China, Australia, and Indonesia./.
