They are among more than 800 Vietnamese nationals in Myanmar that will be helped out of conflict zones and repatriated. Most of them are people of working age and women who have been tricked to work in illegal casinos in Myanmar.

The Government covers all costs of bringing them home.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned Vietnamese citizens stay alert to invitations of "easy and high-paid jobs," with no requirement of degrees, qualifications.

Citizens are advised to learn carefully about job requirements, working locations, insurance policies as well as benefits before making decision to work abroad.

Vietnamese citizens in need of support can contact the Vietnamese Embassy in Myanmar via the phone number +959660888998, or the citizen protection hotlines at +84 981 84 84 84 and +84 965 41 11 18, or via baohocongdan@gmail.com.

Earlier, after receiving information about the situation in late October, the Foreign Ministry immediately directed the Vietnamese Embassy in Myanmar to work with Myanmar authorities to request the Myanmar side to ensure safety and basic living conditions for Vietnamese citizens as well as facilitate their movement out of fighting areas./.
