Tran is on a working visit to China's Yunnan province to attend the 9th China–South Asia Expo and the 29th Kunming Import and Export Fair.

Both sides hailed the positive momentum and outcomes in Viet Nam-China relations, especially via regular high-level exchanges, strong growth in trade, investment, and tourism cooperation, significant progress in strategic and transportation connectivity, remarkably in railway development, as well as vibrant local-to-local linkages and people-to-people exchanges.

Reaffirming Viet Nam's consistent policy of giving top priority to its relationship with China, the Deputy Prime Minister proposed that both sides work together to effectively organize mutual high-level visits in the time ahead, including visits between leaders of the two countries' legislative bodies.

He called on both sides to give high priority to infrastructure cooperation, especially the railway sector, early commencement of the Lao Cai–Ha Noi–Hai Phong railway line, transfer of technology and training of human resources in the railway field, and development of a railway industry complex.

Tran underlined the need to promote bilateral trade in a balanced and sustainable manner, suggesting China continue to open its market to Vietnamese agricultural and aquatic products, foster collaboration in developing smart border gates and cross-border economic cooperation zones, and strengthen cooperation in power grid connectivity.

He expressed his hope that both sides will strive to make cooperation in science and technology, agriculture, and natural resources and environment a new highlight and a new growth driver in Viet Nam-China relations.

The Deputy Prime Minister called for enhancing national-level cooperation in key technologies, enhancing coordination in training human resources in science and technology, boosting collaboration in high-tech agriculture, mutually recognizing testing and quarantine results, and working together on urban air pollution control, disaster prevention and mitigation, climate change response, and environmental protection.

He urged both sides to boost people-to-people exchanges, especially among younger generation, scientists, and entrepreneurs of the two countries, in order to reinforce the solid social foundation of the bilateral relationship.

Wang, for his part, reiterated that China has always considers Viet Nam as a priority in its neighborhood diplomacy and firmly supports Viet Nam in building socialism in line with national conditions.

China stands ready to work closely with Viet Nam to effectively implement high-level perceptions, make thorough preparations for upcoming high-level visits and exchanges, and promote cooperation and experience sharing between the two countries' legislative bodies in areas such as Party building, legislation, and oversight, thus providing strong legal support for building a shared future community between the two nations.

Both sides agreed to continue promoting the effectiveness of existing cooperation mechanisms, especially between the National People's Congress of China and the National Assembly of Viet Nam.

China is willing to promote economic and trade cooperation while expanding imports of Vietnamese goods, enhancing transport infrastructure connectivity and increasing high-quality investments with Viet Nam, asserted the host.

He pledged to step up cooperation in science and technology, artificial intelligence, digital economy, environmental protection, commercial aircraft, and power grid connectivity, thereby contributing to the growth objectives of both countries./.
