Pei is leading a Chinese delegation to attend Viet Nam's 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975–2025).

Pham expressed thanks to China for sending the minister and military force to participate in the parade scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City on April 30, which demonstrates that China attaches importance to Viet Nam's crucial political event, as well as the high level of the Viet Nam-China friendship.

He also expressed his gratitude to the Party, State, and people of China for their valuable and significant support and assistance in manpower, resources, and sacrifices for Viet Nam during its struggle for national independence and reunification.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the consolidation and development of the friendly neighborly relationship and the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership with China is an objective requirement, a strategic choice, and a top priority in Viet Nam's overall foreign policy.

Pham expected that in the time ahead, the two sides will work together to effectively implement the common perceptions reached between their top leaders and the two countries during the visit to Viet Nam by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping.

He called on the Ministry of Veterans Affairs to strengthen ties with Vietnamese agencies, thereby contributing to educating the peoples of both countries about the Viet Nam-China traditional friendship.

Pei, on behalf of the Party, Government, and people of China, affirmed that China regards Viet Nam as a priority direction in its neighborhood diplomacy, he said, adding that China wishes to work closely with relevant ministries, sectors, and localities of Viet Nam to effectively implement the common perceptions reached by their top leaders.

The minister vowed to strengthen people-to-people exchanges-especially cooperation in preserving and managing revolutionary sites and promote education on the traditional friendship, thereby contributing to the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and the building of a community with a shared future that carries strategic significance./.
