Deputy PM meets Czech PM, Mozambican President in India
VGP - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang had separate meetings with Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala and Mozambican President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi on the sidelines of the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) in Gujarat, India, on January 10.

At the meeting with the Czech PM, Tran reiterated that Viet Nam always attaches importance to the friendship and multi-faceted relations with traditional partners, including the Czech Republic.
The bilateral ties have been promoted actively across all sectors, via regular all-level delegation exchanges and contacts, remarkably the Czech PM's official visit to Veit Nam in April last year.
After three-year implementation of the EU-Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), the two-way trade value hit nearly US$1 billion, noted the Deputy PM.
He called on the Czech Republic to raise its active voice to urge other nations in the EU to soon approve the EU-Viet Nam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA) to pave the way for fair and win-win cooperation for their enterprises.
PM Petr Fiala vowed to foster labor cooperation between the two nations, especially high-skilled workers, proposing both sides expand collaboration in fields of defense industry and early open a new direct air route.

During his meeting with the Mozambican President, Tran underscored that Viet Nam attaches importance to the traditional friendship with Mozambique.
He expressed his delight on the achievements in the bilateral ties across all sectors, including the Mozambican Vice President's visit to Viet Nam in September last year.
He suggested Mozambique create favorable conditions for Viet Nam to import coal and soon sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on minerals, a MoU on fisheries cooperation and a MoU on digital partnership.
Tran expected that Mozambique will support Movitel, a partnership between the Vietnamese company Viettel and Mozambican company, to take part in digital transformation projects of the Mozambican government and assembly.
For his part, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, affirmed that Mozambique treasures the traditional friendship with Viet Nam, adding that he will soon pay an official visit to the Southeast Asian nation.
He said that Mozambique encourages Vietnamese enterprises to invest, directly exploit and process minerals in Mozambique for export to Viet Nam, welcoming Viet Nam to strengthen cooperation in fisheries and share experience in agricultural production, especially rice, sweet potatoes, and high-yield agricultural products./.
