Da Nang, USAID sign MOU to enhance development cooperation
VGP - Da Nang City and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for enhancing development cooperation.
Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Le Trung Chinh, and the USAID Mission Director for Viet Nam, Aler Grubbs signed the MOU on the sidelines of the Meet Da Nang 2024 event on January 26.
Da Nang and the U.S. Mission to Viet Nam currently partner on a number of shared development priorities, including clean energy, pollution reduction, higher education, and assisting people with disabilities.
Under the MOU, USAID/Viet Nam and Da Nang City intend to expand their development cooperation to promote innovative solutions in economic growth; clean energy and energy efficiency, environmental protection and climate change response; health; and human resource development.
This MOU will contribute to Da Nang's own goals for human resource development and green economic growth, and represents further cooperation of the U.S. in assisting Viet Nam to achieve its future sustainable development goals in line with the U.S.-Viet Nam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, announced in September 2023./.
