China’s Hong Kong chief executive to visit Viet Nam
VGP - Chief Executive of China’s Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Lee Ka-chiu will pay a working visit to Viet Nam from July 31-August 2.
The visit will be made at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, announced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He will be accompanied by some 30 leaders of leading international, Mainland Chinese and Hong Kong enterprises and conglomerates and his visit aims to explore the investment and business opportunities.
Hong Kong, as an international finance, trade, investment and cultural exchange hub bridging Mainland China and the world, seeks to build upon the close relationship between Mainland China and Viet Nam by providing opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to reach the mainland market.
Viet Nam and Hong Kong maintain a strong economic and trade relationship, which Hong Kong seeks to reinforce with this visit.
The trade visit will facilitate discussion on synergies between Hong Kong and Viet Nam and how to enable Vietnamese businesses to leverage Hong Kong's dynamic startup ecosystem and in new sectors of growth, such as innovation and technology and sustainability, and green finance./.
