Which Vietnamese corporation earns billions of US$ in revenue from overseas markets each year?
VGP - The Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel) has achieved milestones that few companies can match after two decades of overseas expansion.

Bitel, a mobile operator in Peru owned by Viettel
The group has officially announced that it successfully won the auction for the right to use three radio frequency bands in Dominica and will move quickly to build a telecommunications network using the most advanced technologies.
Dominica will be Viettel's third market in the Americas. Once operational, it will become the 11th international market in Viettel's journey of investing in and operating overseas telecommunications services.
Chairman and CEO of Viettel Group Tao Duc Thang said, the successful bid in Dominica marks a new step in Viettel's continued expansion into overseas markets.
Drawing on more than 20 years of effective international business operations, Viettel is pursuing a long-term investment model centered on building modern infrastructure, introducing new technologies to local markets, and creating sustainable value for people, businesses and host economies.
In 2025, revenue from its overseas markets reached US$3.34 billion, up 23.9 percent, marking the ninth consecutive year of double-digit growth and accounting for more than 40 percent of the group's overall growth.
In Dominica, Viettel plans to develop large-scale, advanced technological infrastructure covering remote and underserved areas, expand access to connectivity services, and gradually build a digital service ecosystem tailored to the needs of local people, businesses and organizations.
Strategic growth engine
In March, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of its global business operations, Viettel set three records in international investment in terms of revenue, after-tax profit and gross profit margin.
Revenue and profit reflect the growing scale of its international presence, while its gross profit margin rose for the second consecutive year to above 51 percent, demonstrating improved efficiency and competitive advantages.
In the first half of 2026, cumulative revenue from its overseas investment operations exceeded US$1 billion, up 29.2 percent year-on-year and marking 15 consecutive quarters of growth.
After 37 years of operation, Viettel has present at 17 countries across all five continents.
Across the 11 markets where Viettel invests in and operates telecommunications and digital services, it holds the No. 1 mobile market share in eight markets and ranks first in national budget contributions in five.
With 45,000 base transceiver stations outside Viet Nam and 220,000 km of fiber-optic cable, Viettel currently serves around 90 million international customers and provides employment for approximately 700,000 workers in its investment markets./.
