Prof. Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), made the remark at his meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on the sidelines of the WEF Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Dalian City, China's Liaoning province on June 26.

Prime Minister Pham hailed the success of this year's WEF meeting themed 'Next Frontiers for Growth', which has inspired nations and businesses to continue innovation and collaboration to build the future economy.

In reply, GS. Schwab expressed his impression of the Prime Minister's messages during the plenary session and his sincere and open exchanges with WEF's top CEOs.

He added that WEF and its member business giants greatly upbeat about Viet Nam's prospects, investment environment, business climate and outstanding economic achievements.

The two sides were pleased to witness the significant developments in the cooperation between Viet Nam and the WEF in recent times, especially the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the 2023-2026 period last year at the WEF's summer meeting in Tianjin, China.

Both sides agreed to effectively implement the MoU and coordinate to turn the Ho Chi Minh City Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution into a leading regional hub.

The WEF welcomed Viet Nam's participation in the WEF's Center for Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) and regarded this as an opportunity for Viet Nam not only to share technological knowledge, but also to enhance cooperation in science, technology, and innovation.

Prof. Schwab also extended a formal invitation to Prime Minister Pham to attend the WEF Annual Meeting in Davos in 2025./.
