Vietjet has been recognized with the "Excellence in Aviation Services & Customer Experience" award at the ET Leadership Excellence Awards 2025, one of the most prestigious honors in India, home to a population of 1.4 billion.
This accolade is reserved for industry-leading businesses that have demonstrated outstanding performance, remarkable achievements in service development, innovation, and a positive impact on the industry and broader community.
Vietjet stood out as the only non-Indian airline to receive the award, earning its place among many of India's top-tier brands at the ceremony hosted by the Times of India media conglomerate.
Since launching its first direct flight to India in 2019, the airline has continuously expanded its presence in the market, having served over 1.8 million passengers to date.
Currently, Vietjet operates 10 direct routes connecting Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang with major Indian cities such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru, offering a total of 88 flights per week.
The carrier has won Indian travelers over with four flexible fare classes, extensive promotional campaigns, and specially curated in-flight experiences tailored to the Indian market, such as vegetarian and Halal meals, yoga sessions, and festive celebrations for Diwali and Holi.
Vietjet has also advanced its digital transformation, offering multi-channel ticketing via its website, mobile app, and OTAs, supporting electronic payments through PayU, operating the SkyJoy loyalty program, and introducing AI assistant Amy to optimize customer experience.
Beyond aviation, Vietjet actively supports the startup and innovation community through its "Startup Flight" initiative, promotes cultural exchange, and remains committed to sustainable operations by adopting sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to protect the environment while meeting rising passenger demand.
The airline continues to expand its international flight network, strengthening connectivity between Viet Nam and India, as well as with other global destinations, offering more travel opportunities for passengers.
With its ambition of becoming an international aviation group, Vietjet aims to make air travel accessible to everyone while creating meaningful values for communities amid Viet Nam's new era of development and India's growing prosperity./.
