Preparations are in full swing for Viet Nam's military parades and processions of civil forces to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification (April 30, 1975-2025) as well as the 80th National Day (September 2, 1945-2025).
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Viet Nam People's Army, chaired a meeting with relevant agencies and units in Ha Noi on February 12 to assess progress and ensure every detail is meticulously planned for these milestone celebrations.
Commending the efforts of involved agencies in ensuring timely preparations, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia urged all relevant units to overcome challenges, enhance coordination, and meticulously plan logistics, technical support, training, and mobilization.
He also emphasized the necessity of absolute safety, seamless execution, and the highest level of readiness.
Participating units must instill in officers and soldiers a clear understanding of the significance of these historic events.
Besides, personnel and equipment must be fully prepared, ensuring disciplined and high-quality training to leave a lasting impression and reinforce the pride of both Vietnamese citizens and international friends.
Notably, Nguyen stressed the importance of rigorous technical inspections of vehicles, precise route planning, and safe movement coordination. Ensuring the well-being and welfare of participants must be a priority throughout the entire process.
This occasion serves as an opportunity to promote patriotism, honor those who sacrificed for national liberation and defense, and strengthen unwavering confidence in the Party's leadership.
It fosters national pride and determination to successfully implement the resolutions of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and welcome the upcoming 14th National Congress.
Regarding implementation, the Department of Military Training—under the General Staff—has been coordinating with relevant agencies to ensure adherence to the planned schedule.
Assigned units have been systematically organizing formations and conducting rigorous training. Currently, joint formation drills are underway.
According to the plan, centralized training and large-scale rehearsals will take place from February 17 to April 6.
All agencies and units have actively ensured essential conditions for the training, including accommodations, uniforms, weaponry, and equipment, to support the success of the military parade./.
