Viet Nam, Sri Lanka signs cooperative documents
VGP - General Secretary and President To Lam and Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake witnessed the exchange of cooperation agreements between the two countries' ministries and sectors.

The signed documents included:
1. The Memorandum of Understanding between the People's Police Academy under the Viet Nam's Ministry of Public Security and the National Police Academy under Sri Lanka's Ministry of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs on cooperation in police training and scientific research.
2. The Memorandum of Understanding between Viet Nam's Ministry of Science and Technology and Sri Lanka's Ministry of Science and Technology on cooperation in the fields of science and technology.
3. the Memorandum of Understanding between the Viet Nam's Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs and Sri Lanka's Ministry of Buddha Sasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs.
4. The Memorandum of Understanding on cultural cooperation between the Viet Nam's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Sri Lanka's Ministry of Buddha Sasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs.
5. The Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in information and communications between the Viet Nam's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Sri Lanka's Ministry of Health and Mass Media.
On this occasion, Viet Nam donated 100 tons of urea and superphosphate to the Government and people of Sri Lanka.
Viet Nam and Sri Lanka share a longstanding traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation, particularly marked by high political trust and strong similarities and close ties in their views on national development, as well as shared cultural and Buddhist values.
Cultural and tourism cooperation, especially spiritual tourism, between the two countries has developed strongly./.
