Viet Nam, South Korea sign 10 cooperation documents

These documents are:

(i) - The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on science and technology cooperation between the Ministry of Science and Technology of Viet Nam and the Ministry of Science, ICT of South Korea;

(ii) - The MoU on cooperation in the field of copyright and related rights between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Viet Nam and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of South Korea;

(iii) - The MoU on strengthening cooperation in renewable energy between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Viet Nam and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of South Korea;

(iv) - The MoU on dispatch and reception of workers to work in South Korea under the EPS program (Employment Permit System for foreign workers in South Korea) between the Ministry of Home Affairs of Viet Nam and the Ministry of Employment and Labor of South Korea;

(v) - The MoU on cooperation and technical assistance related to central banking operations between the State Bank of Viet Nam and the Bank of Korea;

(vi) The MoU on cooperation between the State Securities Commission of Viet Nam and the Financial Supervisory Service of South Korea;

(vii) - The Agreement amending and supplementing the MoU between the Ministry of Education and Training of Viet Nam and the Ministry of Education of South Korea;

(viii) - The MoU on fisheries cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of Viet Nam and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of South Korea;

(ix) - The MoU on human resource development in the field of nuclear energy between the Viet Nam National Energy Industry Corporation and the Korea Electric Power Corporation;

(x) - The MoU on strengthening cooperation between the People's Committee of Da Nang City (Viet Nam) and the Government of Pyeongtaek City.

General Secretary To Lam and his spouse Ngo Phuong Ly are on a four-day State visit to South Korea at the invitation of Korean President Lee Jae Myung and his spouse. 

This is the first state visit to South Korea To Lam in his capacity as General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee. It is also the first state-level visit by a foreign leader to South Korea since President Lee Jae Myung took office. 

The trip holds significant importance, creating new momentum and opening up numerous opportunities for bilateral cooperation in a new era of development of both nations./.
