Viet Nam seeks Saudi Arabia's investments in building petroleum storage center for Southeast Asia
VGP – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh called on Saudi Arabia and its investment funds to join Viet Nam's key projects, including a center for petroleum storage and distribution for Southeast Asia.
Pham made the call at his reception for Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih in Riyadh on Wednesday.
Pham promised that the Government of Viet Nam will act faster to better meet Saudi investors' expectations, saying he welcomed Minister Khalid Al-Falih and Saudi investors to Viet Nam to explore concrete investment opportunities.
The Vietnamese Prime Minister suggested the Saudi Minister to promote negotiations on an investment protection agreement between the two countries.
Pham said he had a fruitful meeting with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman earlier the same day, during which both sides agreed to further upgrade the Viet Nam-Saudi Arabia relations, especially in the fields of trade, investment and economic connectivity.
For his part, Khalid Al-Falih described the summit meeting between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman as "historic" meeting.
He expressed his admirations for Viet Nam's development achievements and hailed Viet Nam as a stable and attractive investment destination for Saudi investors./.
