Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh meets with Egyptian counterpart in Riyadh
VGP - Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with his Egyptian counterpart Mostafa Madbouly in Riyadh on October 29 (local time) on the sidelines of the 8th Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference.
Prime Minister Pham spoke highly of Egypt's role and position in the region and at multilateral forums and the values of the Nile River civilization for humanity.
Building on the fine traditional friendship and high political trust, both sides should work together to promote bilateral cooperation in all fields towards lifting the bilateral relations to new heights.
Pham took the occasion to convey greetings and invitations from General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee To Lam, President Luong Cuong, and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Prime Minister Madbouly to soon visit Viet Nam.
Madbouly said Egypt was one of the first Middle East countries to establish diplomatic relations with Viet Nam (in 1963).
Egypt always attaches importance to the traditional friendship and cooperation with Viet Nam, affirmed Madbouly.
He expressed his deep admiration for President Ho Chi Minh.
The two Prime Ministers agreed to explore the possibility of signing agreements to create legal framework for bilateral trade cooperation.
The pair agreed to encourage their businesses to invest in such fields like electric vehicle manufacturing, software development, renewable energy, green transition, digital transformation among others while promoting cooperation in education and training, tourism and culture in a bid to enhance mutual understanding.
They agreed to continue mutual support at multilateral forums and to act as bridges for strengthening partnerships with ASEAN and Arab nations for mutual benefits and for peace, cooperation, and development in both regions./.
