Viet Nam proposes to host APEC in 2027
VGP - President Vo Van Thuong proposed Viet Nam host Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum in 2027.

President Vo made the above proposal while attending the 30th APEC Forum in San Francisco, the U.S., on November 17.
Viet Nam successfully hosted APEC in Ha Noi in 2006 and Da Nang in 2017.
The Vietnamese leader e,mphasized the need to maintain and consolidate the important achievements in liberalization and facilitation of trade and investment in the Asia-Pacific region and the globe.
It is necessary to create cooperation frameworks to support the member economies to take advantage of development opportunities and promote growth momentum, he underlined.
APEC needs to focus on improving capacity, autonomy, creativity and application of science and technology, while building infrastructure, developing human resources, and boosting digital transformation and green transformation models, Vo added.
"More than ever, APEC members need to be open, sincere, and have constructive dialogue to increase understanding, narrow differences and create consensus," the President said.
The same day, President Vo Van Thuong and his entourage left San Francisco, concluding their trip to attend the APEC Economic Leaders' Week in the U.S./.
