These priorities include mobilizing resources to successfully implement the Viet Nam - UN Strategic Framework for Sustainable Development Cooperation 2022-2026, and accelerating the fulfilment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Viet Nam, said minister Bui.

At the meeting, Bui highlighted the UN's role in coordinating multilateral efforts to respond to common challenges of the international community, such as global economic downturn, climate change, food crisis, water security, and strategic competitions among significant powers.

He affirmed that Viet Nam considers the UN one of its top priority partners and always bears in mind the valuable support and assistance offered by the UN during its development cause over nearly five decades.

Bui wished that the Resident Coordinator would serve as an effective bridge between UN organizations and the Vietnamese Government, ministries and agencies to promote bilateral cooperation further.

He suggested the UN organizations would continue policy recommendations and technical assistance for Viet Nam in the next stage of development.

Besides, the UN should support Viet Nam in climate change adaptation, energy transition, and green finance while assisting Vietnamese citizens in applying for positions in the UN system.

For her part, Pauline Tamesis appreciated Viet Nam's active, positive, and practical contributions to multilateralism and UN activities. She emphasized that despite difficulties and challenges, especially the COVID-19 pandemic, Viet Nam has maintained its strong commitment to realizing the SDGs.

UN organizations are committed to standing alongside Viet Nam to seize new opportunities, respond to challenges, and mobilize international resources to serve the country's sustainable and inclusive development.

Pauline Tamesis pledged to work with Viet Nam in mobilizing global resources and realizing the country's primary development goals./.
