Viet Nam among Turkey’s priority economic partners in Asia-Pacific
VGP – Viet Nam is among Turkey’s priority economic partners in the Asia-Pacific region, said Turkish Minister of Trade Omer Bolat.
Minister Bolat made the above statement during his meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Ankara on November 29.
More and more Turkish businesses are increasingly interested in Viet Nam’s market, particularly in such fields like construction, industrial production, and production of consumer goods.
Bolat said he will lead a business delegation to visit Viet Nam next year.
Prime Minister Pham, who is on a three-day official visit to Turkey, congratulated Turkey on its great achievements over the past time, especially in diversifying its economy, developing industries, expanding international economic cooperation.
Pham urged the Turkish side to continue collaboration with Viet Nam to mull over negotiations on a free trade agreement between the two countries, soon organize the 8th meeting of the Viet Nam-Turkey Inter-governmental Committee in Ankara next year.
He suggested both sides organize trade and investment promotion events and further open markets for the products of the two countries’ strength.
The same day, Prime Minister Pham paid his respects to modern Turkey’s founder Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in the capital Ankara.
Pham laid a wreath at Ataturk's Mausoleum or Anitkabir, and he also signed a formal guest book./.
