Viet Nam among best countries for travellers: Condé Nast Traveler
VGP - Viet Nam was ranked 15th among 20 best countries for travellers in the world with a score of 89, according to the 2024 Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards.
Condé Nast Traveler noted that Viet Nam's charming rusticity sets it high on the list of gap-year adventurers year after year.
The national carrier Viet Nam Airlines will become the first and only airline in the country to offer a non-stop service to Italy when it launches thrice-weekly flights between Ha Noi and Milan in July 2025, revealed the magazine.
The country won big at the World Travel Awards 2024, claiming awards including 'Asia's Leading Festival and Event Destination', it highlighted.
The Southeast Asian nation served 12.7 million in the past nine months, 43 percent more than in the same period last year, reported the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT).
The VNAT said most of Viet Nam's foreign tourist markets have completely recovered or even increased sharply since the COVID-19 outbreak. The tourism industry aims to welcome 17-18 million foreign visitors this year.
The ranking is part of the magazine's annual Readers' Choice Awards, which gathers votes from readers around the world.
In its 37th edition, the awards received over 575,000 votes from readers, who evaluated their travel experiences in each country based on criteria such as culture, landscapes, tourism services, and infrastructure.
