The meeting took place on the occasion of the Vice President's tour to Indonesia to partake in the inauguration ceremony of the Indonesian President.

Vo warmly congratulated Indonesia on its significant achievements in socio-economic development, expressing her belief that under the leadership of President Subianto, Indonesia will successfully achieve its goal of becoming a developed nation by 2045, with an increasingly prominent and reputable position in the region and the world.

She suggested Indonesia continue to facilitate market access for Vietnamese agricultural products and Halal-certified goods, as well as Vietnamese investment projects in the country.

President Subianto, for his part, respectfully extended his greetings and expressed thanks to the leaders of the Party and State of Viet Nam as well as the Vice President for representing the Vietnamese leadership at the inauguration ceremony.

Viet Nam is a crucial partner of Indonesia in the region, he noted, adding that there are ample rooms and potentials for the two countries to explore in order to elevate cooperation at both bilateral and multilateral aspects.

Both sides highly appreciated the positive and effective developments in the Viet Nam-Indonesia strategic partnership across all areas.

The two sides pledged to continue working closely together to promote all-level exchanges and contacts via all channels, people-to-people exchanges, and local-to-local linkages.

The two leaders agreed to join hands in organizing activities to commemorate the 70th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations (1955-2025) and the 80th anniversary of both nations' Independence Days by 2025.

Both sides agreed to double efforts to soon realize the trade goal of US$18 billion and encourage their enterprises to increase investment in each other's markets, especially in newly-emerging areas such as Halal industry, digital economy, green economy, energy transition, and the development of the electric vehicle ecosystem.

They agreed to enhance cooperation in other important areas such as defense-security, prevention of transnational crime, and maritime cooperation.

The host and the guest vowed to step up close coordination at international and regional forums and organizations, especially in maintaining the solidarity and centrality of ASEAN in addressing regional issues, including the East Sea issue.

They underscored the need to soon achieve an effective and efficient Code of Conduct in the East Sea (COC) in accordance with international law, including the UNCLOS 1982./.
