Typhoon Bualoi death toll rises to 29, with 22 still missing
VGP - As of 6 a.m. on October 1, Typhoon Bualoi and severe floods left 29 deaths and 22 missing, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment's report.

The report shows that a total number of 91 houses were completely destroyed and more than 144,700 houses were damaged or had their roofs blown off. Over 20,100 houses were flooded while 1,076 schools were damaged.
More than 19 kilometers of riverbanks and coastlines were eroded. Nearly 6,406 power poles were damaged or toppled, causing power outages for 2.7 million customers. Over 60,400 trees were either uprooted or broken.
Agricultural and aquaculture production sustained heavy losses, with more than 34,300 hectares of rice and crops and nearly 10,000 hectares of aquaculture areas submerged or swept away. A total of 1,105 livestock and about 179,000 poultry died or were washed away.
In terms of transportation, 42 flights were canceled and 51 flights were delayed. There were 1,272 locations affected by flooding, landslides, or blockages./.
