Tran Sy Thanh becomes new Chairman of Central Inspection Commission

VGP – The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam on Wednesday elected Tran Sy Thanh, Chairman of Ha Noi Municipal People's Committee as new Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission.

New Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission

Tran will replace his predecessor Nguyen Duy Ngoc who has been assigned by the Politburo as new Secretary of Ha Noi Municipal Party Committee.

Tran, aged 54, was elected as alternate member of the 11th Party Central Committee, member of the 11th and 12th Party Central Committee.

From 2008 to July 2020, he served as Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, member of the Central Inspection Commission, Secretary of Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission, and Secretary of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Economic Commission, Chairman of the Viet Nam Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam).

He was appointed Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Office in August 2020, Auditor General in April 2021, and Chairman of Ha Noi Municipal People's Committee in July 2022./.
