Party Central Committee convenes 14 plenum

During the two-day plenum, the Central Committee will deliberate on preparations for the 14th National Party Congress scheduled to take place in early 2026, and Party building work and operation of the political system.
In his opening remarks, General Secretary To Lam said the Central Committee will discuss the number of members to be elected to the 14th tenure Politburo and Secretariat, emphasizing that this is the matter of significant importance.
The Party leader called on the participants to put forward measures to address the shortcomings and weaknesses in policy enforcement, power decentralization and accountability, and corruption prevention and combat; bottlenecks in the areas of land, capital market, and skilled workforce.
He also urged the participants to put forward measures to further improve the model of two-tier local administration system./.
