Russia provides emergency aid to flood-affected residents in Hue
VGP - An emergency international aid shipment from the Government of the Russian Federation for residents affected by floods in Hue City arrived at Noi Bai International Airport on Thursday morning.

The aid was handed over to the Department of Dike Management and Disaster Prevention and Control, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
The shipment includes 58 rescue and work boats, 1,000 sets of dishes, 1,000 blankets, 1,000 bedding sets, 55 tents, and 22 tons of canned food.
At the handover ceremony, Russian Ambassador to Viet Nam Gennady Bezdetko expressed his deep condolences to the Government and people of Viet Nam for the losses and damages caused by recent floods in the northern and central regions, reaffirming Russia's commitment to collaborating with Viet Nam in disaster prevention and response efforts.
As of morning October 30, the floods in central Viet Nam have claimed 10 lives and left eight people missing./.
