The meeting was chaired by Politburo member and top legislator Tran Thanh Man, who also serves as Chairman of the NEC, and attended by NEC members and representatives from relevant agencies.

Tran affirmed that the general election held on March 15 was a resounding success, which was conducted in a democratic, equal, lawful, safe, economical, and substantive manner. This was among the largest and most demanding elections ever held, both in terms of scale and workload.

The voter turnout reached a record high, with no constituencies requiring re-elections nationwide, he noted.

Voters nationwide demonstrated strong engagement and responsibility, selecting candidates with the competence, integrity, and dedication required to serve in the NA and People's Councils.

The results show that the proportion of part-time deputies holding concurrent posts in executive or judicial branches has reduced compared to the previous terms, while increasing the number of full-time legislators.

The first plenary session of the 16th Legislature is expected to open in Ha Noi on April 6./.
