Railway, air transportation rocket in first eight months
VGP - Passenger transportation has increased impressively, with railway and air transportation experiencing the growth rate of over 130 percent each, according to the Ministry of Transport.

Statistics showed that 76.5 million commuters travelled by air in the first eight months, representing a sharp year-on-year increase of 136 percent.
In August alone, airports served for about 11.5 million passengers, up 473 percent against the same period last year.
In the January-August period, 3.9 million tons of cargoes were transported by trains, up 3.5 percent against the same period last year.
Noticeably, about 3 million passengers travelled by trains, posting an amazing surge of 143 percent./.
