Statistics showed that 76.5 million commuters travelled by air in the first eight months, representing a sharp year-on-year increase of 136 percent.
In August alone, airports served for about 11.5 million passengers, up 473 percent against the same period last year.
In the January-August period, 3.9 million tons of cargoes were transported by trains, up 3.5 percent against the same period last year.
