Queen of Netherlands vows to support Viet Nam in launching National Comprehensive Financial Strategy
VGP - Queen of the Netherlands Maxima spoke highly of Viet Nam’s National Comprehensive Financial Strategy, asserting that as the Secretary-General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development, she will continue supporting Viet Nam in implementing the strategy.
The Dutch Queen made the above statement during her meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in The Hauge, the Netherlands on Monday.
Queen Maxima commended on Viet Nam's socio-economic development achievements, particularly in realizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
For his part, Prime Minister Pham reiterated that Viet Nam always treasures the friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with the Netherlands.
He expressed his delight on the effective implementation of the strategic partnerships on climate change and sustainable agriculture, enhancement of trade and investment and expansion of collaboration in potential sectors towards sustainable development and responses to global challenges.
Pham expected that the Royal House of the Netherlands and the Queen would continue support for stronger comprehensive partnership between the two countries, provision of financial support and promotion of technology transfer for Viet Nam to realize the SDGs.
The Prime Minister thanked the Dutch Queen for her valuable assistance for Viet Nam in building the National Comprehensive Financial Strategy, hoping that the Queen would help mobilize resources to assist the country in successfully implementing the strategy.
He also suggested the Queen mobilize technical assistance to support Viet Nam in such new areas like digital transformation, innovation, financial literacy and financial consumer protection for effective implementation of the strategy.
Pham took the occasion to convey the invitation of President Nguyen Xuan Phuc to the Queen and the King to pay a visit to Viet Nam and the latter gladly accepted./.
