Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh meets Canadian counterpart Mark Carney in South Africa
VGP – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Canada's Prime Minister Mark Carney on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa on November 22.

Pham spoke highly of the positive growth in the Viet Nam-Canada relations across all fields over the past time, paving the way for the two countries to further strengthen substantive cooperation in the future.
He suggested both countries turn cooperation in economy, trade, investment, and science and technology as the major pillar of bilteral ties to fully tap the strengths of each economy as well as the opportunities brought by the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
Pham urged Canada to further open its market for Vietnamese goods, promote investment and supply chain connectivity in a sustainable and mutually beneficial manner between the two countries.
Carney affirmed that his country always considers Viet Nam an important partner in the Indo-Pacific Region. He said both sides should work closely tegether in realizing the signed agreements.
Prime Minister Pham took the occasion to invite Prime Minister Carney to soon visit Viet Nam. Carney accepted the invitation with pleasure.
The same day, Prime Minister Pham also met with Zimbabwe's President Constantino Chiwenga, Ethiopia's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, and Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud./.
