Pham asserted that Viet Nam treasures the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Russia, in which energy cooperation for peaceful purposes and space research are highly potential sectors.

He said that he highly appreciates Russia's cooperation with and support for Viet Nam in training scientists and experts in the field of nuclear energy, designing and operating the Da Lat Nuclear Reactor, developing the Viet Nam-Russia Tropical Center, and supplying radioactive pharmaceuticals for cancer diagnosis and treatment.

The Vietnamese leader hopes that Russia and Rosatom will continue their cooperation with and support for Viet Nam, not only in the development of nuclear power but also in the development of nuclear science and technology for peaceful purposes, contributing to socio-economic development.

He urged Russia and Rosatom to support Viet Nam in human resource training and technology transfer to help Viet Nam develop its nuclear technology sector.

For his part, Likhachev said Rosatom would continue strengthening cooperation with Viet Nam and implementing high-level agreements between the two countries.

Rosatom stands ready to foster collaboration and assist Viet Nam in building nuclear power plants, establishing a new, modern nuclear center, transferring technology, localizing nuclear products, and developing nuclear science and industry, with a long-term vision spanning hundreds of years, he said./.
