Prime Minister arrives in Switzerland for 55th WEF annual meeting
VGP - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Monday arrived at Zurich, Switzerland where he will attend the 55th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting.
The visit is made at made at the invitation of WEF Founder and Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab.
During his stay in Switzerland, Prime Minister Pham will attend dialogues and sessions on various topics, including a plenary session on the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), a national strategic dialogue between Viet Nam and WEF, and a special dialogue between the WEF and the Government leader.
He will also chair seminars on trade and global development in the era of intelligence, high-tech investment in Viet Nam, Viet Nam in the digital age, digital infrastructure, and green energy.
The Prime Minister will hold meetings with leaders of various countries, international organizations, and multinational corporations, aiming to strengthen relations, attract investment, and promote trade.
He is expected to deliver key messages regarding Viet Nam’s determination, aspirations, and vision for achieving strategic development goals over the next 20 years.
This is the first multilateral diplomatic activity of Viet Nam's high-ranking leaders in 2025, reaffirming the country as a reliable partner and an active, responsible, and promising member of the international community.
The leader's bilateral activities in Switzerland are expected to consolidate political trust and strengthen the Viet Nam-Switzerland relationship.
Since Viet Nam and the WEF established relations in 1989, bilateral cooperation has been actively promoted, helping Viet Nam promote its integration and development and strengthen its connections with countries and partners.
