National steering committee on data set up
VGP - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed a Decision on the establishment of the national steering committee on data.

Pham, who is also the head of the committee, is assisted by Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang and Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Long as deputy heads of the committee.
The committee is an inter-sectoral coordinating organization responsible for assisting the Government and the Prime Minister in directing and coordinating the implementation of national policies, strategies, mechanisms, and solutions related to data.
The committee shall help the Government and the Prime Minister oversee the development and operation of national and sectoral databases.
It will also assist the Government and the Prime Minister in inspecting the implementation of inter-sectoral strategies, programs, mechanisms, policies, schemes, projects, and solutions related to the development of national and sectoral databases./.
