Covering an area of more than 20 hectares at the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park in Ha Noi, the Center is among the largest in Southeast Asia. It is the first national-level center to receive top-tier international certificates, with disaster resilience and the highest levels of security and safety.
At the ceremony, the Prime Minister and delegates were introduced to 21 digital platforms, core products, and utilities developed to build a national digital ecosystem based on centralized data, including the national data sharing and coordination platform, the national public service portal, the information system serving the direction and administration of the Government and the Prime Minister and the data marketplace.
Addressing the event, Pham said, the project holds strategic significance, helping to accelerate national digital transformation and promoting the development of digital economy, digital society, digital human resources, and digital citizenship.
It has enhanced the role, reputation, and position of the digital transformation sector in general, and the public security force, in particular, as a pioneer in the national digital transformation process, noted the leader.
Pham highlighted that the key outcome of this project is its direct benefits for people and businesses, saving time in handling administrative procedures, facilitating production and business development, and improving people's well-being.
A project on developing the National Data Center was approved under Government Resolution No. 175/NQ-CP dated October 30, 2023.
The Resolution notes that the National Data Center must become an important part of digital infrastructure in service of economic development and social management, in conformity with Vietnamese characteristics.
To be built, managed, exploited, and operated by the government, the Center will integrate, synchronize, store, share, analyze, exploit, and coordinate data from State agencies in line with legal regulations to create a database on people and a general database that collects information from different databases nationwide.
Data from the Center will form the basis for supplying data-related services, helping with policy-making, facilitating development, and contributing to the building of digital government, society, and economy and the safeguarding of national defense and security. It will also provide information technology infrastructure for socio-political organizations, national databases, and agencies with data demand.
In addition, it will use collected and synchronized data to simplify administrative procedures, improve public services for individuals and businesses, and conduct in-depth analyses to assist the government in the management and issuance of social security policies, including those on insurance, healthcare, and education, to help foster social development and progress./.
