Leaders extend condolences to India over devasting floods
VGP - Vietnamese leaders have sent messages of condolences to their Indian counterparts over catastrophic consequences caused by floods in the northern region of India.
The floods killed nearly 150 people and forced thousands of others to leave their homes.
Specifically, President Vo Van Thuong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh separately cabled messages of condolences to their respective Indian counterparts Droupadi Murmu
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue extended his condolences to Vice President cum Chairman of the Rajya Sabha (upper house) Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Speaker of the Lok Sabha (lower house) Om Birla.
On the same day, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son also extended his condolences to Indian Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar./.
