Kim Long Motor to export fully-assembly cars

This is a comprehensive deal on tranfer of technology and production line and exclusive automobile axle products, including internal combustion engine axles in Viet Nam.

The deal is a new historic milestone for not only the three companies but also for the country’s automobile industry.

With this deal, Kim Long Motor will produce a series of vehicle axles, from internal combustion engine axles to electric axles, with a capacity of 80,000 axles per year, equivalent to 40,000 commercial vehicles and automation rate of 60 percent.

This is a breathrough step, helping Kim Long Motor increase the content of science and technology, improve output and ensure quality of its products for both domestic and foreign markets.

The deal also helps Kim Long Motor to exclusively manufacture and distribute Dongfeng Dana axles in Viet Nam, thus contributing to increase market share and localization rate.

Kim Long Motor will export complete vehicles equipped with a “golden” transmission system of Dongfeng Dana.

The deal is trully the key for Kim Long Motor to reach out to the region and the world, affirming its leading position in the auto parts manufacturing industry in Viet Nam, paving the way to participate deeply in the global production value chain.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Dao Viet Anh, Kim Long General Director said his company commits to making the most of the resources, techniques and experience from Dongfeng Dana while investing seriously in enhacing production capacity in Viet Nam.

Futa Group, Kim Long Motor and Dongfeng Dana will continue close cooperation to soon realize their common targets, shared Dao Viet Anh.

He said Kim Long Motor pursues a strategy of developing products through cooperation with the world’s leading corporations specializing in manufacturing of engines, transmission systems to create products with highest scientific and technological content, localization rate and quality.

Kim Long Motor Hue Automobile and Assembly Industrial Part is oriented to become a leading regional center for manufacturing automobiles and auto spare parts with the goal of achieving the localization ratio of 80-90 percent prior to the second quarter of 2026.

Kim Long Motor commits to becoming a leader in both quality and output of internal combustion engine vehicles and new energy vehicles such as electric buses, electric trucks.

Cooperation between Futa Group, Kim Long Motor and Dongfeng Dana is also important to further tighten the relationship between Viet Nam and China./.
