Key state leadership positions to be elected at first NA session
VGP - Key state leadership positions for the 2026-2031 tenure will be elected at the first sitting of the 16th National Assembly (NA), NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man said on Thursday.

The session is scheduled to open on April 6 and close on April 24, spanning a total of 11 working days.
Key positions include the State President, the Prime Minister, the NA Chairman, the NA Vice Chairpersons, Deputy Prime Ministers, Cabinet ministers as well as members of the NA Standing Committee, Council for Ethnic Affairs and other NA Committees, Tran said.
During the working session, legislators will also discuss nine draft laws and normative resolutions, as well as socio-economic, finance, budget issues among others.
On March 27, the National Election Council announced the list of 500 elected deputies to the 16th Legislature.
