The search volume for Viet Nam's tourism via Google's market trend tracking tool grew 30 percent between November 2024 and January 2025.

Tourists from the U.S., Australia, India, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, and Malaysia are among those searching for information about Viet Nam the most.

Notably, they are also Viet Nam's key tourism markets across Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America.

Particularly, the high search volumes from Australia and India, ranking second and third, highlight the significant potential and room for growth in these markets in the coming period.

The most searched destinations in Viet Nam by international travelers are Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Hoi An, Da Lat, Phan Thiet, Hue, and Vung Tau.

After a successful breakthrough year in 2024, this is truly a positive signal for Viet Nam's tourism industry.

In January 2025, Viet Nam welcomed nearly 2.1 million international visitors, marking an 18.5 percent increase from the previous month, a 36.9 percent rise compared to the same period in 2024, and up 37.8 percent against the pre-pandemic period in 2019.

Experts believe that the rising demand from international tourists for Viet Nam reflects the effectiveness of the newly implemented open visa policies and breakthrough tourism promotion programs targeting key markets over the past year.

Remarkably, this search trend also contributes to elevating Viet Nam's tourism brand on the global stage./.
