Over the past two decades, the national flag carrier has transported 3.8 million passengers, and more than 174,500 tons of cargo between the two countries.

The average annual growth of passengers and cargo in the pre-pandemic period was 5 percent and 10 percent, respectively.

In the first five months of this year, it carried 108,700 passengers between the two nations and transported 5,500 tons of cargo, which is equivalent to the figures recorded in 2019.

With the direct routes between Viet Nam's Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City and France, Viet Nam Airlines continues to make an important contribution to promoting economic, cultural, and social connectivity between the two nations, as well as with the EU in general.

Viet Nam Airlines ranks 44th in the list of the top 100 airlines around the world by airline ranking company Skytrax.

The carrier has been named among the top 25 best airlines in the world for 2023, according to Australia-based aviation safety and product rating agency AirlineRatings.com.

Being a dynamic, modern international airline with Viet Nam's cultural identity, for more than 20 years of development with double-digit growth, Viet Nam Airlines has been leading the nation's aviation market - one of the world's fastest-growing domestic markets.

It aims to become a leading 5-star international airline in Asia./.
