Deputy PM extends condolences to Iran over helicopter crash
VGP - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang on Thursday visited the Embassy of Iran in Ha Noi to offer condolences and write in the condolence book over the deaths of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and some senior officials in a recent helicopter crash.
On behalf of the Vietnamese Government and people, Tran offered the deepest condolences to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the Government and people of Iran, and the families of President Ebrahim Raisi, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and other victims.
He expressed his hope that the State and people of Iran will overcome this pain and loss to continue promoting the prosperous development of the nation.
Acting President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on May 20 sent condolences to Acting President of Iran Mohammad Mokhber over the helicopter crash.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man extended condolences to Speaker of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf.
On the same day, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son also sent condolences to Iran's Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani.
The helicopter crash happened in East Azerbaijan province of Iran on May 19, killing all people on board. The country declared five days of national mourning for the deceased./.
