Deputy PM hosts Chief Supply Chain Officer at Coherent Corp

Deputy Prime Minister Ho acknowledged the company's successful operations in Viet Nam over the past two decades, particularly in the production of optical components, semiconductor materials, advanced optical glass, and laser solutions serving global supply chains.

The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed that Viet Nam attaches great importance to its Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the U.S., in which cooperation in economic affairs, investment, science and technology, innovation, semiconductor industry, and digital transformation holds strategically significant role that delivers tangible benefits to both countries.

He underscored that the Vietnamese Government always stands alongside the business community, welcoming the U.S. companies to further expand their operations in the Southeast Asian country, particularly in high-tech industries and sectors with high added value.

Place, for his side, said his company is partnering with universities in Viet Nam not only to develop a skilled workforce but also to conduct research on emerging technologies, with the aim of fostering innovation and strengthening the country's semiconductor industry.

Coherent Corp has strong confidence in Viet Nam's investment environment and in the partnership that has been built over many years, he noted.

The company has long-term development plans in Viet Nam and looks forward to accelerating the implementation of the objectives set out in its 10-year development strategy, thereby contributing to Viet Nam's emergence as a key link in the global semiconductor supply chain./.
