Viet Nam is cooperating with foreign partners to enhance transport connectivity, including railway, to serve national industrialization and modernization process, said Pham, adding that Viet Nam also expects to work with China in this area.

The Government chief took the occasion to seek China’s support in designing, construction and technology transfer of railway lines from China’s Yunnan to Viet Nam’s Hai Phong city, from Lang Son to Ha Noi, and from China’s Dongxing to Hai Phong via Mong Cai.

In addition, the country also hopes to develop urban railway systems, said Pham.

In reply, Lou said that his company can provide quality products for Viet Nam at competitive costs, help train human resources and cooperate in research and development.

Earlier on June 24, Prime Minister Pham also met with Chairman of the Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co. Ltd. (CRRC) Sun Rongkun during which he called on the company to join in infrastructure development in Viet Nam, especially large-scale projects and inter-regional and urban railways./.
