The 4-day event was organized by the Indochina Children's Association (Les Enfants de l'Indochine) - ALEDI in collaboration with Ha Noi-Viet Nam Water Puppet Performance Art Company Limited.

From stories of farmers' peaceful and idyllic daily life in rural villages to fairy tales or legends, all were reproduced on a small flooded stage with a curved roof and bamboo blinds.

Additionally, folk music performances recognized by UNESCO, such as Tuong singing (classical opera), Chau Van (ritual singing), and Hau Dong (mediumship) rite, blew the mind of the audiences.

Explaining why this program was organized, Mr Trieu Vinh Van, Chairman of the ALEDI Association, said that as water puppetry was a unique art form of Viet Nam, Western audiences loved it.

With Ms Dang Thi Diep, Director of Ha Noi-Viet Nam Water Puppet Performance Co., Ltd., her dream of bringing Vietnamese traditional folk art to the world prompted her to coordinate with the ALEDI Association to organize this tour.

After covering the cost of performing activities, all proceeds will be contributed to the ALEDI Fund to help disadvantaged children in remote and mountainous areas of Viet Nam.

Water puppet shows and ethnic performances not only introduced to international friends the traditional beauty of Viet Nam but also contributed to the richness and diversity of the world's cultural treasures./.
