Vietnamese, Chinese Party leaders exchange Lunar New Year greetings
VGP - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and Chinese Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping exchanged their greetings on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year.
The two leaders spoke highly of the historic significance of the Vietnamese Party leader's official visit to China, during which both sides issued a joint statement on the continuation to accelerate and deepen the bilateral relations, which is regarded as a crucial foundation and long-term strategic orientation for fostering the bilateral relations in a sustainable and healthy manner in the future.
Party chief Nguyen expressed his hope that both nations' authorities, organizations and localities will carry out the high-level agreements and perceptions reached during the visit, for the sake of their peoples and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
For his part, Xi stressed that China always considers Viet Nam a priority in its regional foreign policy, expecting that the two sides will continue consolidating political trusts and traditional friendship, enhancing strategic linkages, fostering substantive cooperation across all sectors and promoting collaboration in addressing international and regional issues.
The two leaders wished the Parties, States and peoples of the two countries a happy new year, and the building of socialism in each country constant and greater achievements./.
