According to the Trade Remedies Authority of Viet Nam under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the U.S. International Trade Commission on October 30 released its final decision on an anti-dumping investigation concerning aluminum extrusions imported from 14 countries and territories, including Viet Nam.

Accordingly, the commission determined that the U.S. industry was not significantly injured by aluminum extrusions imported from the 14 countries and territories under investigation, although the DOC had previously concluded that their extruded aluminum was dumped or subsidized.

The investigation was initiated by the department on October 24, 2023 at the request of the U.S. United Steel, Paper & Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial & Service Workers International Union, in which Viet Nam was only investigated for anti-dumping.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection data, in 2022, Viet Nam accounted for approximately 7.6 percent of the total export value from countries to the U.S., ranking fourth among the largest exporting countries to the U.S., only behind Mexico, Colombia, and China./.
