Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang made the above statement while attending the 2023 World Aviation Safety and Operations Conference in Ha Noi on September 19.

Tran reiterated that the Vietnamese Government places importance on and gives high priority to the safe and sustainable development of aviation in its overall socio-economic development plan.

The Government always creates the most favorable conditions for the country's airlines to develop in a healthy, safe and friendly manner, noted Tran, adding that Viet Nam identifies that ensuring aviation safety and security is a particularly important task.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his hope to receive more assistance and close coordination from international partners in this sector, contributing to bringing Viet Nam closer to the world and bringing the world closer to Viet Nam in the most convenient and safest way.

During 2009-2029, Viet Nam's air transport market has made remarkable progress, with passenger and cargo transport growing over 17 percent and 14 percent on average annually.

The conference is taking place in Ha Noi from September 19-21 under the theme of "Leadership in Action: Driving Safer and More Efficient Operations".

The event, organized by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and hosted by national flag carrier Viet Nam Airlines, brings together leaders, regulators and a large global community to address key topics related to aviation safety operations.

Aviation safety is the cornerstone of the operations of all Vietnamese airlines, who have to comply with a wide range of regulations from the international aviation organizations and the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam, including weather conditions to ensure flight safety./.
